School Corruption Shows No End
A large number of elementary and secondary school principals have been involved in bribery cases. According to the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, 157 incumbent school headmasters ― 137 in Seoul and 20 in Gyeonggi Province ― are suspected of having taken money from travel agencies when organizing school field trips.
It is the largest number of heads subject to police investigation at the same time. They allegedly took bribes worth tens of millions of won from travel agents in exchange for buying their travel products.
