LG Electronics Takes 3-D to the Classroom

The explosive success of the Hollywood 3-D blockbuster “Avatar” has prompted Korean companies to seek other industries where the technology can be used, and the education business is next on their list.

LG Electronics, the world’s second-largest manufacturer of liquid crystal displays used in flat screen TVs, officially jumped into the English-language education business yesterday with a donation of 3-D TVs.
