Electronic Textbooks for All Students

Students at primary and secondary schools will begin using electronic textbooks along with paper ones next year, which will ease the burden of carrying heavy thick books, the Education Ministry said yesterday.   The ministry will also expand the use of the “government-recognized” textbooks, which will allow students to use other books — containing up-to-date information — as their textbooks.

It announced a set of measures to enhance current textbooks, which have been denounced for containing out-of-date information and being too condensed and concise in content.
