EPIK Invites Native English Teachers for Public Schools

The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of Korea invites qualified candidates to apply for 2010 EPIK positions. EPIK (English Program in Korea), which has a fourteen year history, is a well-established teaching overseas opportunity.

1. Work Place : Korean public schools
2. Number of Positions : 800 public schools, nationwide
3. Contract Period : 1 year contract (Feb 26, 2010 ~ Feb 25, 2011)
4. Eligibility
– A person who has minimum bachelor degree in any discipline
– A citizen from 7 designated countries where English is the primary language
(* Korean fluency is not required )
5. Duties : Jointly conduct English conversation classes and extracurricular activities with Korean teachers
6. Salary : 1.8 million KRW ~ 2.7 million KRW/per month
(varies according to qualifications)
7. Benefits : housing, entry/exit allowance, settlement allowance, severance pay, 18 work-days paid vacation, tax exemption, medical insurance, national pension
8. Duration of Application : October 1, 2009 ~ December 15, 2009
