Welcome to Expacked (Issue #19)

April 22, 2009

As I started to write the intro to this week’s Expacked, I made the mistake and decided to have a quick look at Facebook.  That “quick look” turned into an hour or two, as a friend had sent me a link to a cool website that shows a wide range of documentaries.

I decided to do a search for anything on Korea and came across a very interesting one about North Korea.  As someone who is living in South Korea, it’s amazing (and scary) seeing the similarities and differences between the two Koreas.

This video is 50 minutes long, however, it gives you a greater understanding of where we are living and I have inserted it below for you interest.

The festivals continue this week with the opening of the Lotus Lantern Festival in Seoul.  This is a spectacular event and well worth the effort to see it.  I have included further details on this event in an attached story below.

Please note there is also a free Living Orientation workshop on this Saturday in Seoul.  Legal experts will be on-hand to help with any questions you have about living and working in Korea.

As usual, we have a great summary of stories this week on the right.  I hope you enjoy the read and, of course, this week’s jokes.

Thanks,

Ken
