Welcome to Expacked (Issue #7)

January 29, 2009

I hope you all enjoyed the Lunar New Year holidays.

This has to be one of the most confusing times for English teachers in Korea (Well, for me anyway).  2021_confused_little_boy_with_question_marks

Many of us would have had winter camp, some holidays, “worked” at school while students are not there (why?) and had their second New Years in a month.  Now we go back to school for one or two weeks of classes before we have another holiday called “spring break” (What can we teach them in this time?).  After that, we then officially start the next class semester and all our students move up a grade.  Are you confused? I know I am.  Any comments on this?

As usual, a summary of this week’s stories is on the right.  There are a number of important stories in this issue, so I hope you enjoy the read and, of course, this week’s joke.

Thanks,

Ken
