Welcome to Expacked (Issue #30)

How did we ever make it to 30 weekly issues of Expacked?  Its amazing how fast the year has gone and I am just so pleased with all the great support I have received over this time.

As Expacked continue to develop and improve, the main goal will always be the same – Keeping teachers informed on what is happening in Korea and what will impact them as they teach and live in Korea.

With education spending in Korea now topping 40 trillon won, the Korean Government has just released details on how they hope to reduce the dependence on the ever growing hagwon industry.  It will be interesting to see how this will impact on native English teachers working in both the public and private sectors in the future.

As usual, we have a great summary of stories this week and the quick links are on the right.  I hope you enjoy the read and, of course, this week’s joke.

Before I go, I hope everyone has a great time at the Boryeong Mud Festival this weekend.  I know I’ll be there and I am looking forward to a fantastic weekend!  See you there!

Thanks,

Ken
